The 2020 Golden Globe Awards are near!

On Monday (December 9), the full list of nominations for the the upcoming awards show were announced by actresses Dakota Fanning and Susan Kelechi Watson. The 77th annual event will be the first ceremony to launch awards season next month at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California at 8 p.m. EST on NBC on Sunday (January 9).

Ricky Gervais will be doing the honors of hosting the awards show for the fifth time. “Once again, they’ve made me an offer I can’t refuse,” the 55-year-old funnyman said in a statement. “But this is the very last time I’m doing this, which could make for a fun evening.”

Among the evening's top contenders include Big Little Lies, Killing Eve, and Fleabag in television, whereas Marriage Story, The Irishman, and Joker will compete for high honors in film. As previously reported, Ellen DeGeneres will receive the honorary Carol Burnett Award at the event, which recognizes “outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.”
